Shipping Information

How shipping works

Every one of my creations is a bit different in size and shape (funnily enough, that tends to happen when you make things by hand), so I don’t do a flat shipping rate. Instead, shipping cost is calculated automatically at checkout based on the size of what you’re ordering and where it’s headed. You’ll see the exact cost before you pay.

Where I ship

• New Zealand — courier overnight in most areas, or economy post in 3–4 days if you’re happy to wait a little longer for a lower cost
• Australia — 4–6 days
• Rest of the world — yes, I ship internationally too, with cost calculated at checkout the same way, based on size and destination

Processing time

I aim to get your order packed and posted within 1–2 days of you ordering, often on the same day of, for both New Zealand and Australia. After that, it’s in the hands of the courier gods.

Because most things are made by hand or in small batches, every now and then I won’t have an item in stock and will need to make it to order. If that’s the case, I’ll email you to let you know.

Tracking

Every parcel goes out with tracking included, so you can watch it make its way to you (and mildly stress about it, as is tradition).

Free local delivery

If you’re in Haumoana, Te Awanga, or Clive, delivery is free — I’ll drop it round to you myself rather than sending it via courier. Consider it a locals discount, complete with delivery by an actual local. I don’t currently offer pickup, though, because I don’t like waiting around for people who fail to show up on time.

Paintings and larger pieces

Original paintings and bigger items get extra love before they go anywhere — proper padding, corner protection, and careful boxing so what arrives on your wall looks exactly like what left my studio. It’s the same care I’d want if I were the one receiving it.

Rural addresses

NZ Post charges extra for rural delivery, and that gets passed on at checkout. If you’ve got a workplace or other non-rural address you can use instead, it’s worth choosing that at checkout — same parcel, same care, just a friendlier postage fee.

Who delivers it

All parcels are currently sent with NZ Post, whether you’re just down the road or on the other side of the world.
